EFCO consumables
EFCO consumables are matched to the EFCO equipment through intensive testing. In our abrasives and lapping materials overview you will find all the consumables you need for use with EFCO machines.
GSS Series
EFCO GSS grinding tools are coated with cubic crystalline boron nitride (CBN) in an electroplated bond.
Only the good heat resistance of CBN in combination with its great hardness enables economical grinding in the range of higher machining temperatures of these steels (long tool life).
EFCO abrasives
EFCO abrasives have been adapted to EFCO technology through intensive trials.
- Abrasive backing: paper, fabric, foil
- Abrasive grit: aluminium oxide (Al2O3), silicon carbide (SiC), zirconia alumina (ZrO2+ Al2O3)
- Grit size: Standard grit size: P80-P1800 (other grit sizes on request)
EFCOBOR lapping agent
According to DIN 8589, lapping is an ultra-fine machining process with loose grain (lapping mixture) distributed in a liquid or paste, which is guided on a usually form-bearing counterpart (lapping tool).
EFCOBOR lapping agents are oil-soluble lapping pastes made of boron carbide.
They are available in various grit sizes from P80-P1500 (FEPA) and packaging units.
