EFCO lapping machines are designed for the precision machining of safety valves, ball valves, compressor valve disks etc. We are manufacturers of portable and stationary lapping machines.
Lapping is one of the fine or ultra-fine machining processes with which high surface qualities, extreme shape accuracy and tight dimensional tolerances can be achieved.
Lapping is defined according to DIN 8589 and means machining with loose grain distributed in a liquid or paste. This lapping mixture is located between the workpiece and a lapping wheel. As lapping does not usually involve heating the lapping piece, deformation is ruled out. Many of the EFCO sanding machines can be used with lapping accessories for the precise finishing of surfaces. They are complemented by a range of special machines for lapping.
